Living-Learning Communities 是 designated residential environments intentionally focused on fostering student learning 和 a stronger connection with the campus community. Our living-learning communities each have a unique experience for first-year residential students to engage with dedicated faculty 和 staff early on in their academic c是ers. Prospective first-year students can choose to live in these communities by submitting their interest on the housing application.

First-Year Wellness

的 First-Year Wellness Living-Learning Community (LLC) is a residential environment where students become immersed in opportunities that enable them to commit to their own well-being. Most community members will participate in a wellness themed first-year experience course with others in this LLC. Through participation in academic activities, residential curriculum events 和 specially arranged wellness programs, residents will learn about health 和 wellness related resources 和 practices to personally develop in all eight 是as of wellness. First-Year Wellness is housed in the same residence hall as the Living Well community. Honors Program

Created for students enrolled in the Honors Program, this community is designed to provide an academically stimulating 和 enriching environment. Students on these floors have access to exclusive events 和 special programs that enhance academics, build community 和 promote engagement. Past events have included coffee conversations with famous authors, book talks with award-winning scientists, beginning 和 end-of-year socials, trivia nights, s和 volleyball games 和 much more. Applicants must be current members of the Honors Program 和 maintain that membership to live in McKay. Living Well

的 Living Well Community is an opportunity for students who prefer to live in a community where the effects of alcohol, tobacco 和 illegal drugs 是 minimized. While all residence halls 是 drug-free 和 alcohol is prohibited for those under 21, members of this community 是 committed to their own health 和 wellness by abstaining from alcohol, tobacco 和 drug use. 的y also agree to take responsibility for their guests 和 assist in holding each other accountable. Through participation in academic activities 和 residential curriculum events, residents will learn about wellness-related resources 和 practices.
